| Fun We bought the truck tent for my husband's Ford. It was very comfortable for both of us to sleep in and was easy to set up. I would recommend that you get the specialty air mattress with cutouts for the wheel wells. A regular one did not fit at all. We thought we could make it work....nope. | Customer review 1 |
| Great Customer Service and product While I took a chance after the poor reviews listed, I must say, I do not understand why my product and service is/was so outstanding. Yes the center pole broke off about 3 inches, still was usable, they sent a replacement out RIGHT AWAY...The only thing you need to be aware of is to not tighten down onto the truck to tight as that is what happen to break the center pole. Also, one does need to be careful getting the poles into the loops as I can see how others would tear them by not understanding the force and were to hold the tent when inserting the poles into the loops. At over half the cost of the others, while I did not have them to know if they too would have similar issues, I can not see much differences, so more bang for your dollars! The rain fly comes with this model and I only saw the others as an extra fee so even more less costly... After putting the tent together the first time and getting it on the truck I found it is not easy for one... | Customer review 2 |
| You get what you pay for The adage 'you get what you pay for' is alive and well with this item. I received it on time and from appearance it looked like I got a good deal. I have read several reviews on this item, and the main hang up was on the instructions. It is true that the instructions are vague at best, but really are not necessary. If you cant set up a tent without instructions, you really should not be camping. This tent is a little bigger than the bed of my truck, but still usable. The first time I set it up one of the straps that attach the tent to the truck broke without much force. Poor sewing for sure. The center bar that holds the tent opening upright is too long and cannot attach to the proper points inside the tent. The bag that stores the tent is basically useless now. The stitching on the seams broke and the zipper came off in my hands after one use. The tent is usable, but certainly not something that I would buy again.
