Looking for a spacious interior? The Trail Ridge incorporates a multi-diameter pole configuration that enables the walls to stay steep and aggressively arch toward the top for a much larger livable space. This ideal family tent also has two equal-sized vestibules flanking each end for easy entry/exit and plenty of storage.Ever wanted to stargaze but could only see a sliver of the sky through your tent? Enter the TrailRidge 4 four-person tent, whose steep mesh walls offer a stellar viewing experience on warm evenings. The Trail Ridge 4 incorporates an innovative structure that pushes the side walls upward rather than diagonal. As a result, the tent offers a ton of interior space for a dome-style tent, so you can and three co-campers can sit up (almost) straight while reading, changing clothes, or talking. The tent is also expert at keeping out moisture, with a polyester rainfly and an ArcEdge nylon floor with specially constructed taped waterproof seams located above ground level. And setup couldn't be easier thanks to the high-quality DAC poles and color-coded clip construction.
Other features include internal storage pockets, gear loft loops, noiseless zipper pulls, fly vents, a side-release tent/fly connection, and guyout points.

About Kelty Kelty has been building affordable, reliable outdoor gear since 1952, helping everyone--from the first-time camper to the experienced mountaineer--embrace the outdoor experience with confidence. Dick Kelty launched the company after years of making backpacks in his home or garage for friends, hand forming and welding each of the frames while his wife sewed the pack bags. The original Kelty packs included aircraft-aluminum contoured frames, padded shoulder straps, waist belts, clevis-pin attachments, nylon pack cloth, zippered pockets, and hold-open frames. Dick Kelty quit his carpentry business in 1956 to focus full time on Kelty Packs, and turned an old Glendale, California, barbershop into his first retail store and factory. In the ensuring years, Kelty expanded its product line to include daypacks, luggage, waterproof clothing, child carriers, jogging strollers, and more.
Kelty Trail Ridge 4 Basecamp 4 Person Tent even better than expected - highly recommend!!!
Great tent, great value We have more than a few Kelty products in our camping arsenal so when we were looking for a mid-size tent to go along with the backpacker and the big Eureka and saw this Kelty in our price range, we had to check it out. After reading reviews on other sites we decided to give it a try and last summer it was the only tent we ended up using after we received it. From our experience:
Pros: 1) Like I said, great value! You can pretty much spend whatever you want on a tent, meaning if you are inclined to blow $800, there's a tent out there for you. The fact is, UNLESS you are looking to camp on top of snow in the dead of winter, I think most people are like us and can get away with a good 3 season tent. This one fits the bill and is available for well under $200. 2) Set up - I expected the first time out of the box for this thing to take me about 20 minutes or so. I've set up plenty of tents in the past and it usually takes that long just to get all the parts in place...

Great tent This tent has been absolutely great. The tent has enough room inside for our queen size, double thick air mattress plus luggage. We went through a very crazy thunderstorm in Florida in this tent where it rained all night with not one leak. It's a bit too big for a back-packing tent, but for all other use, this tent is the best I've ever owned.
The rain fly is huge, covers the whole tent. Has a couple of vents you can close in case of a storm like we got. The poles are very good quality. The zippers function well, no issues. The floor of the tent feels super thin like it would tear easily, but it hasn't. Must be a good material.
The setup is pretty easy and doable by yourself. I'd recommend setting it up once at home to figure it out so you're not fumbling around in the dark trying to understand the clips for the small poles. But once you've done it once, it's cake.

great value, super roomy but not all season it was really easy to set up and has so much room inside. the rain fly has to be up to stake the tent in and make it wind stable. it is really big though. we wanted to use it as a roomy 2 person tent but the additional amount of air made it harder to heat up.
the other thing was that it rained a lot when i used it and it also started snowing and I woke up to water dripping through the rain fly and into the tent. It wasn't a ton but probably enough drops through the night to provide discomfort to me.
i think it will be an excellent tent for the summer weather as it is very airy and has plenty of changing and storage space.
