| Great little tent so far. I was worried about purchasing this tent due to the lack of user reviews but that appears to be due to the fact its a newer model of Eureka's Apex 2XT. I imagine most reviews for the Apex hold true for the Isis. After setting it up, inspecting it and seam sealing the tent looks like its going to be a little workhorse. It comfortably fits me (5'11") and my pack and has ample vestibule space on both sides. Setup is quick & easy (2 poles and 6 stakes.) The surprise about this tent is the color which is not bright orange/yellow as pictured. The color is the same as the Apex and is a burnt orange/copper/terra cotta color. I got this tent but later on returned it. it is a great tent for the price. it is easy to setup and very spacious for a 2 person tent. i want to clarify about the model. it is not a replacement for the Eureka Apex but instead it is a lower end model. the poles are made of fiberglass instead of aluminum. the windows don't have an extra cover. and the color is not the orange shown but instead a green/brown-ish color. not a bad quality tent for the price but i decided to pay a little more for a nicer one. | Customer review 2 |
| Perfect tent for casual camper I made a light year leap from a dome tent from the '90s to this tent and it is amazing. I ended up in it in a down-poor and it was bone dry inside, despite being in a standing puddle of water 2 inches deep. Setup takes seconds, I didn't even know tents had moved away from the old full length sleeve thing you slide the pole in, but this one has little clips instead and it makes things much, much easier and faster. Ventilation can either be anti wind and keep you warm or super breathy and keep you cool. From the shape, I would think you could point either wing at the wind and be fairly comfortable in a gale. The only thing that bothers me is the zipper to get in from the vestibule should be in the other corner. The main tent is all mesh except for the '!' side. The roof part, which also has a '!' that goes on the other side of the tent from the main body's '!', has two winged vestibule things.
