A simple, D-style main doorway provides easy in-and-out, and you can store gear in one of three places the covered vestibule, in small organizational pockets along the interior walls, or in an optional gear loft (sold separately).

| Best Lighntweight Backpacking Tent Recently took this tent on a 30 mile backpack from Tuolumne Meadows to Yosemite Valley. It is easy to put up and well built. It's greatest advantage is it's lightweight at 2.2 pounds. Also like the clip design for attaching the fly to the tent and groundcloth. Yes it is expensive but where pounds count it comes through with flying colors. Only drawback is the internal stash hammock does not come with it and is a special order. | Finally, A Well Designed, Solo Tent Under 3 Pounds I have been searching for a well-designed, solo tent under 3 pounds for many years. And to replace my REI Roadster, which I like, but it lacks headroom and width. I have been climbing and backpacking extensively for 35 years. Surprised to finally find specs I have been looking for (incl a weight well under 3 pounds), I bought the Big Agnes Fly Creek UL1 and set it up in my basement. Like all modern, name brand tents, it is well-manufactured. Big Agnes got most of the weight out by thinner fabric materials. My micrometer told me that the fly thickness is about 1.8 mil and the Roadster a more standard 3 mil, etc. My other measurements were very similar to the advertised specs. I used the Fly Creek solo last week in the Sierra's John Muir Wilderness for a five day trip at 11,000 ft. My search ends! | Light and tough I purchased my BA Fly Creek II from HumbleOutdoors for about $270, it came with a free BA footprint. This tent comes in at just over 2 lbs , making the Fly Creek II an ultralight dream tent. The tent pitches fast, and hods up in fairly strong gusts on Maine coast islands(I kayak camp).
