Soaked by condensation build-up every morning
I live in San Diego so needless to say, the camping around here is pretty light and easy. I got the 2-person Swiss Gear Alpine Peak tent for $32 using a Groupon deal, and I am definitely glad I didn't pay more for it. This tent would probably be great for a backpacker or someone needing minimal comfort. However, for a fun camping weekend with my boyfriend, this tent just did not cut it.

The pros:
It was extremely easy to setup (even in the dark).
There was a light rain the second night and the tent stayed dry inside (with the exception of the condensation build-up but at least we weren't directly rained on).

The cons:
It barely fit a full size air mattress inside of it with absolutely no room for anything else. I am 5'4 and I could have possibly been comfortable by myself in that tent, but I don't see how anyone else would have fit in there comfortably with me.
The condensation build-up on the tent in the morning was EXTREME (even with the...

Roomy, light tent with easy setup
I got this tent as a wedding present and it is by far my favorite gift. As an avid backpacker I found it really roomy and easy to set up. My hubby has never been backpacking, but even to him it was a cinch to set up and was fairly easy to disassemble. In spring conditions it was really comfortable and we had no problem with condensation, although we left the windows open all night and the temperature averaged 60-65 degrees all weekend. Although it is a bit heavier than one I would use for long backpacking trips, it is still rather light (about 8 pounds packed) and perfect for short trips or ones with minimal traveling.

Pros:
* Simple setup...even a child could do it in the dark.
* Compact and light, with small organization pockets.
* Roomy-you could easily fit 3 sleeping bags in here. We have even fit a queen-sized air mattress comfortably, though it only leaves about one foot of room on each side for your gear.

Cons:
* Slightly heavy for...

Love it!!
Easy to set up. I went camping this past weekend and had no problems. Can't wait to go again. My cot fit just perfectly in it.
